    Open runner-up Wozniacki needed 1 hour, 38 minutes to dispose of fifth-seeded Pole Agnieszka Radwanska 6-2, 6-3 to reach her 13th WTA final. She's split her 12 finals appearances thus far and took a 2-1 lead in the head-to-head series with Radwanska.

  • The seventh-seeded Roddick got past 18th-seeded Spaniard Tommy Robredo 6-3, 7-5 on the hardcourts at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The hard-serving American star moved on in 1 hour, 17 minutes with the help of two service breaks, one in each set, and six aces. Robredo failed to enjoy even one break- point chance on Day 9.

    Roddick will next do battle with Soderling of Sweden, who handled fourth- seeded Brit Andy Murray 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) in 1 hour, 34 minutes.

  • The sixth-seeded Jankovic handled eighth-seeded Aussie Samantha Stosur 6-2, 6-4 Friday at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The Serbian star prevailed in 1 hour, 28 minutes and broke Stosur's serve four times in nine tries on Day 10.

    Jankovic is now a perfect 3-0 lifetime against the capable Stosur.

  • The third-seeded Spaniard and former world No. 1 outlasted the 19th seed Czech Tomas Berdych 6-4, 7-6 (6-4) in 2 hours, 11 minutes here on the hardcourts at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

    Nadal, who won 73 percent of his first serves, beat Andy Murray in last year's Indian Wells finale and also titled here in 2007.

  • The sixth-seeded Serbian Jankovic moved into the semifinals at this top-flight hardcourt event with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over 23rd-seeded Russian Alisa Kleybanova at the beautiful Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

    Jankovic prevailed in 1 hour, 42 minutes with the help of three service breaks against the 20-year-old Kleybanova, who captured her first career WTA Tour title in Malaysia three weeks ago. Jankovic also beat Kleybanova in a Fed Cup match last month.

  • Spaniard Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez, the 28th seed, took down Azarenka of Belarus 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 at the beautiful Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

    Another upset came when 23rd-seeded Russian Alisa Kleybanova upended former world No. 1 Clijsters 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (7-4) in two hours, 36 minutes.

  • The second-seeded Djokovic outlasted 25th-seeded German Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (7-3) on the hardcourts at Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The 2008 Indian Wells titlist Djokovic staved off three match points while trailing 4-5 in the third set here on Day 5.

    Djokovic prevailed in 2 hours, 35 minutes with a match-ending inside-out forehand winner. Up next for Djokovic will be 20th-seeded Croat Ivan Ljubicic.

  • Wozniacki blew past Russian Maria Kirilenko, the 32nd seed, 6-0, 6-3, at the beautiful Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

    In a mild upset, 18th-seeded Zheng Jie of China outlasted 10th-seeded Russian Sharapova 6-3, 2-6, 6-3. Sharapova titled here in 2006.

  • Federer captured his fifth lifetime matchup without a loss against Romanian Victor Hanescu, 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 6-1. The top-ranked Swiss Federer, who won the title from 2004-06, played his first match since capturing his 16th career Grand Slam crown at the Australian Open on January 31.

    Fourth-seeded Scotsman Andy Murray also went through to the third round with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Italian Andreas Seppi. Murray is last year's runner-up, losing to Rafael Nadal in the final.

  • Nadal, the reigning titlist and third seed, eased past German Rainer Schuettler, 6-4, 6-4, to move into the third round. Meanwhile, Djokovic topped American Mardy Fish 6-1, 0-6, 6-2. The second-seeded Serbian needed a little under two hours to record the win.

    Additionally, fifth-seeded Russian Nikolay Davydenko was a 6-4, 6-4 winner over Ernests Gulbis.

  • Navarro's victory was the only significant upset so far Saturday at the beautiful Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

    Third-seeded Victoria Azarenka of Belarus rolled to a 6-1, 7-5 win over Sybille Bammer of Austria; No. 9 Flavia Pennetta of Italy dropped Czech Petra Kvitova, 6-3, 6-3; and No.

    Nalbandian, who reached as high as third in the world rankings, topped qualifier Stefan Koubek 6-2, 7-6 (7-2) in nearly one hour, 15 minutes. He reached the quarterfinals at Copa Telmex earlier this year before pulling out with an injury.

    The former world No. 1 Moya reached the final here in 1999.
