• Revs' Reis to miss 3-4 months

  
  

  Foxborough, MA (Sports Network) - New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Reis underwent successful surgery on his left knee and will be out 3-4 months, the Major League Soccer club announced.

  The 34-year-old Reis was already recovering from December rotator cuff surgery, with the projected recovery time taking that into account.

  The Revolution were already preparing to be without Reis a t the beginning of the season after acquiring veteran Preston Burpo from Colorado earlier this offseason.

  New England is scheduled to open the 2010 season on the road against the Los Angeles Galaxy on March 27 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
