Blue Bombers ink CB Glover

Glover has spent the past four years with Winnipeg and in that time has accumulated 116 tackles along with seven interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns.

Also signed on Thursday were offensive lineman John Hashem, slotback Scott McHenry and defensive back Clint Kent.

Last season with Saskatchewan, he started 16 games and had 195 carries for 932 yards and five scores to go with 33 catches for 336 yards and two touchdowns.

Over his four seasons in the CFL, Cates has 584 carries for 3,313 yards and 24 touchdowns along with 138 catches for 1,525 yards and five touchdowns in 62 games.

Roughriders extend QB Durant

Last season with Saskatchewan, Durant completed 339-of-561 passes for 4,348 yards and 24 touchdowns, with 21 interceptions, over 18 games. He also ran for 501 yards and three touchdowns in his first full season as starter.

Since coming into the league in 2006, Durant has played in 59 games and has completed just over 60 percent of his passes for 5,484 yards, 31 touchdowns and 27 interceptions.

Lions release QB Pierce

The 28-year-old California native threw for 2,272 yards, 10 touchdowns and 12 interceptions on 199-of-315 completions in 2009 for the Lions.

Additionally, the Alouettes signed defensive end Gavin Walls and tackle Skip Seagraves to one-year contracts with options. Both Walls and Seagraves were recently released by the club.

Pickett spent the last three seasons with Toronto. In 2009, he started seven of 18 games and completed 145-of-235 passes for 1,553 yards and three touchdowns, with three interceptions.

Roughriders sign OL Goodspeed

A five-year CFL veteran, Goodspeed was with Hamilton in 2009 after being acquired from Winnipeg in a three-team deal. He has played in 75 career regular season contests.

The 33-year-old out of Kent State originally signed with the Blue Bombers as a free agent in 2005.

Bombers release DB Walls

Walls participated in all 18 games for the Bombers in 2009 and finished with 47 tackles, seven interceptions with one returned for a touchdown, along with one fumble returned for a score.

The Boston College product also helped Calgary win the Grey Cup in 2008 with 23 tackles after being signed that September.

Parker played part of five seasons with the Argonauts, setting club records for most interception return yards in a season (348 in 2006), interception return yards in a game (135 at Hamilton on September 9, 2006), career touchdowns by interception (6) and single-season touchdowns by interceptions (4).

The versatile star came back to Toronto in September 2009 after a tryout with the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles and played two games before getting shipped to CFL stalwart Edmonton, where he started six games.

Reed, who will also carry the title of assistant head coach, spent last season as Saskatchewan's running backs coach and special teams coordinator. Before joining the Roughriders, he was Toronto's defensive coordinator in 2008.

Reed began his coaching career with the Argonauts in 2001, and has also held the defensive coordinator position in Hamilton from 2004-07.
