  • Stars F Neal suspended two games

Toronto,ON (Sports Network) - The National Hockey League on Friday suspended Dallas Stars forward James Neal two games for a hit from behind.

The incident occurred during Thursday's game in Columbus, when Neal appeared to leave his feet to check Blue Jackets defenseman Marc Methot along the boards.

He missed and connected instead with Jackets forward Derek Dorsett, and the force of the contact drove Dorsett's face into the glass.

Neal was given a major for boarding and game misconduct for his actions.

The 22-year-old Oshawa, Ontario native leads Dallas with 11 goals and 22 points in 19 games. He will be eligible to return on November 25, when the Stars host the Blues.
