• Louisville receiver carted off field

  
  

  Louisville, KY (Sports Network) - Louisville wide receiver Doug Beaumont was carted off the field during the third quarter of Friday's game against Rutgers.

  Beaumont was sandwiched between two Rutgers players and appeared to take a helmet to the head/neck area with 5:19 remaining in the third quarter. He remained on the field while medical personnel stabilized his neck and placed him on a stretcher.

  As he was wheeled off the field, Beaumont gave fans and teammates a thumbs-up sign with both hands.

  The junior entered the game with 35 receptions for 440 yards in 11 games.
