• Hamilton's Glenn tops CFL Players of the Month

  
  

  Toronto,ON (SportsNetwork) - Hamilton quarterback Kevin Glenn and defensive end Justin Hickman, Winnipeg kick returner Jovon Johnson and Saskatchewan slotback Andy Fantuz have been selected as the CFL's top performers for October.

  Glenn, who helped the Tiger-Cats reach the postseason for the first time since 2004, earned offensive honors for completing 128-of-194 throws for 1,652 yards with eight touchdowns to three interceptions. He also rushed for a score.

  The quarterback's highlight performance came during Week 16 in a loss to Montreal, when he finished 29-of-44 for 506 yards and three TDs.

  Hickman earned the monthly defensive accolades after registering five sacks, 22 tackles and forced a fumble. His signature game came in Week 15 against Winnipeg, as he totaled a sack, a forced fumble and eight tackles.

  Taking home the special teams honor was Johnson, who accumulated 566 yards on 24 kickoff returns and added another 331 yards on 34 punt returns, including a score.

  Rounding out the monthly winners was Fantuz as the top Canadian player, for catching 38 passes for 488 yards with two touchdowns.
