  • Calvillo throws four touchdowns as Montreal dominates Calgary

Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - Anthony Calvillo threw four touchdowns passes, including three to Jamel Richardson, as the Montreal Alouettes routed the Calgary Stampeders, 32-11, at Percival Molson Stadium.

Calvillo completed 26-of-37 attempts for 289 yards, while Richardson finished with 70 yards on seven receptions for the Alouettes (12-2), who have already clinched the East Division.

With star running back Avon Cobourne held out of the lineup due to a groin injury, Brandon Whitaker rushed for 90 yards on 17 carries to lead Montreal's ground attack.

Calgary quarterback Henry Burris converted 16-of-32 passes for 228 yards and was picked off twice.

Sandro DeAngelis kicked three field goals for the Stampeders (8-6), who fell into a tie for first place in the West with Saskatchewan.

Calvillo and Richardson hooked up for a three-yard touchdown to open the scoring, and Montreal kicker Damon Duval tacked on a single later in the first quarter.

A pair of DeAngelis field goals -- 29 and 38 yards, respectively -- and a single on a Burke Dales punt trimmed Calgary's deficit to 8-7, but Calvillo threw consecutive touchdown passes to Richardson to stretch the lead to 15.

DeAngelis was good from 25 yards out in the waning moments of the second quarter and the Stampeders went into the half trailing 22-10.

After Calgary picked up a single in the third quarter, Andrew Hawkins hauled in a six-yard pass from Calvillo in the early stages of the fourth. Duval's 12-yard field goal accounted for the final score.
