  • Mets, Pagan agree to one-year deal


    Flushing, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Mets agreed to a one-year contract with outfielder Angel Pagan on Tuesday.

    The Mets have now reached an agreement with all five of their arbitration- eligible players.

    Pagan, 28, batted .306 with 22 doubles, six homers and 32 RBI in 88 games for the Mets last season, his second in New York.

    Pagan began his career with the Chicago Cubs and has compiled a .281 average with 45 doubles, 16 triples, 15 home runs and 84 RBI in 267 career games.
