The game, a 31-17 contest that saw the Saints win their first title in franchise history, beat out the last episode of M*A*S*H, which drew 105.97 million viewers in 1983.
The viewership for this Super Bowl was up eight percent from 2009's contest between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals.

Pendergast's role was not made clear in the team's release on the hiring.
Pendergast was fired as the defensive coordinator in Kansas City last month after spending one season with the team. He had spent the previous five years as defensive coordinator in Arizona and helped the Cardinals reach the Super Bowl last season.

It appeared as if the Warriors were on their way to snapping an eight-game losing streak, but the Mavericks outscored the hosts 37-19 in the final frame to earn just their second win in six games, which included a home setback to the lowly Timberwolves on Friday.
Jason Kidd recorded 17 points and 12 assists, while Josh Howard and Drew Gooden added 25 and 24 points, respectively, for Dallas, which received a 15- point, eight-rebound effort from Dirk Nowitzki. Gooden also pulled down 10 caroms in a winning cause.

Lakers All-Star guard Kobe Bryant sat out his second straight game due to a sprained left ankle. LA was also missing Andrew Bynum (bruised right hip), but Gasol filled the center role nicely.

Lee didn't disappoint in his short time in Philadelphia, going 7-4 in 12 starts down the stretch with a 3.39 ERA, and carrying the National League champions in the postseason with a 4-0 record and 1.56 ERA in five starts.

In four seasons in Chicago, Carr has appeared in 68 games, including 15 starts, while tallying six goals and three assists.

The 6-foot, 183-pound Herrera has scored four goals in 11 appearances for the Colombian national team. He most recently played for Deportivo Cali of the Colombian First Division, where he scored 26 times in 92 games.

But after racing sensation Danica Patrick's announcement on Monday that her much-anticipated Nationwide Series debut has been bumped up one week earlier to Saturday's DRIVE4COPD 300 season-opener at Daytona, the main topic for Speedweeks now should be "girl, have at it." Patrick initially was scheduled to make her Nationwide debut with JR Motorsports -- a team co-owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr. -- in the February 20 race at California, but her schedule now has changed due to her stellar performance in the ARCA event at Daytona this past weekend.
Yes. "Go Daddy Girl" quickly...

Not only was the former New Zealand Olympic medalist accessible to everyone interested in telling his tumultuous training story prior to last Friday's WBA light heavyweight fight between Beibut Shumenov and incumbent champion Gabriel Campillo...he's been an equally stand-up guy afterward.
For those unaware, Shumenov became Barry's first world championship client with a split 12-round decision over Campillo in the Fox Sports Net-televised main event from Las Vegas, though the verdict has been roundly criticized almost immediately since it was announced.
