Olympic Synchronized Swimming
Originally known as "water ballet", Olympic synchronized swimming demands strength, endurance, skill and artistry, but most of all, tremendous breath-control. Plus, there's an underwater speaker in the pool that allows the swimmers to hear the music.
Olympic synchronized swimming is basically a hybrid of swimming, gymnastics and dance, and the swimming perform a synchronized routine in the water accompanied by music. There are team events and duet (pairs) events.
