Temple Owls vs. Cornell Big Red (+3.5, 119)
-
Tim Duncan and company picked up an impressive outright road win against the Miami Heat in the first leg of this Florida road trip their last time out. The win was Head Coach Gregg Popovich’s clubs fourth in a row and eighth in their L/10 tries.
The Magic saw their eight-game winning streak come to a close in shocking fashion as 8.5-point home favorites against the Charlotte Bobcats their last time out. The defeat was only Orlando’s seventh incurred at home this season.
-
March Madness props: NCAA Tournament betting action kicks off bright and early Thursday afternoon when the CAA representative #11 Old Dominion Monarchs (26-8, 13-17 ATS) square off against the Big East rep #6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (23-11, 17-10-1 ATS) down in the bayou in the New Orleans Arena.
ODU cruised to the Colonial Tourney Championship game where it outlasted William and Mary 60-53, but the seven-point win snapped their two-game cover streak. Notre Dame saw its six-game winning streak come to a close in the semifinals of the Big East Tournament where they fell to West Virginia 53-51, but covered for its betting backers as 2.5-point underdogs.
-
March Madness Odds: The Friday late afternoon session of the NCAA Tournament tips off at 2:30 ET when the MAAC representative #13 Siena Saints look to shock their third straight opponent in the 1st Round in as many years when they take on the beleaguered #4 Purdue Boilermakers of the Big 10 Conference in the Spokane Memorial Arena.
Siena captured its third straight MAAC Conference Tournament Championship to punch its ticket to the “Big Dance” its last time out. The automatic bid now has Head Coach Fran McCaffery’s Saints dancing with the big boys for the third straight season.
-
Friday - Washington Wizards at Portland Trail Blazers
For a few brief moments the Washington Wizards were the best bet in the NBA. After shipping out their top two stars during the trade deadline, while also suffering through the suspension of Gilbert Arenas, oddsmakers pitied the Wizards to the point where you couldn't bet against them.
-
March Madness Betting: The Madness starts Thursday afternoon when the first round of the NCAA Tournament begins. Of course, it’s damn near impossible to follow each and every game in the Big Dance, but here are a couple matchups you might want to TiVo if you can't catch them live this Thursday:
Butler Bulldogs vs. UTEP Miners (+3)
-
Monday - Denver Nuggets at Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets are making things very interesting in the middle of the Western Conference. They sit in 10th place in the West and just five games out of the eighth and final spot in the postseason. Houston has won back-to-back contests and four of its last six games, going 3-3 against the spread in that span. Heading into Monday's date with Denver, the Rockets are riding the momentum of a 116-108 beating of the New Jersey Nets at home Saturday night.

Bookmaker Sportsbook oddsmakers currently have the Wildcats tagged as two-point favorites in this neutral court battle with the game ‘total’ set at 145.
For the second time in a five-day span, Head Coach Scott Drew’s kids beat the ever living snot out of in-state rival Texas. This time, it came on a neutral court, but the end result was quite the same. The Bears rolled the Longhorns 92-77 as three-point home chalk back on March 6th, and followed it up with an 86-67 beat down as one-point chalk last night in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tourney. They played a cutthroat style of ball at both ends of the court limiting the Horns to just 36.4 percent shooting defensively while rip...
-
Friday - Los Angeles Lakers at Phoenix Suns
-
The Bulls saw their current losing streak extend to five in a row both SU & ATS when they fell at home to the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night. Dwight Howard and the Magic rattled off their sixth win in a row their last time out when they pasted the Los Angeles Clippers 113-87 as lofty 12.5-point favorites.
-
Wednesday - New Orleans Hornets at Oklahoma City Thunder
The Hornets continue to trudge along without star point guard Chris Paul. New Orleans has been without their floor general since January 30, going 7-11 in that span while covering the spread in just eight of those contests. Paul isn't expected back until at least the end of the month but is scheduled to start running on his surgically-repaired left knee this week.

Regular season NBA Betting action is coming down the home stretch, and Wednesday night offers up a doozy of a Western Conference clash when the New Orleans Hornets (32-32, 30-33-1 ATS) invade the Ford Center hoping to sting the Oklahoma City Thunder (38-24, 37-25 ATS).
The Hornets survived a track meet their last time out against Golden State where they triumphed 135-131 but failed to cover the six-point closing NBA odds. The Thunder secured their fifth win in six tries last Sunday after going into Arco Arena and coming out a 108-102 victor against the Kings.
The host Thunder currently sit as 7.5-point home favorites with the game ‘total’ set at 201.5 at Bookmaker Sportsbook.
Monday night’s win against the Warriors snapped the Hornets four-game SU losing streak, but their ATS futility remains intact having failed to cover the pointspread in each of their L/5 games (0-4-1 ATS). Six players registered scoring in double-digits with both F David West and G M... -
Big 12 Tournament
Heading into the season the Big 12 was already hailed as the deepest conference in the land. With established programs like Kansas and Texas leading the way, budding teams like Baylor and Kansas State making the jump among the country's elite, and mainstays like Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, and Missouri keeping the level of competition at its peak, the Big 12 did not disappoint.
-
ACC Tournament
Most seasons, the ACC has at least two programs contending for the conference crown and a No. 1 seed in the NCAA. However, with the fall of the North Carolina Tar Heels, the Duke Blue Devils stand alone as the ACC's true power.

TNT offers up a potential first-round playoff preview in the second leg of tonight’s telecast in the desert where the Utah Jazz (38-22, 36-21-3 ATS) and Phoenix Suns (39-24, 37-26 ATS) square off for the second time this season.
Both of these clubs took on the same opponent their last time out, but each put forth different results. The Jazz fell to the lowly Los Angeles Clippers 108-104 as 6.5-point road chalk on Monday, while the Suns erupted for 70 second half points in the Staples Center to easily cover the 4-point spread en route to the decisive 127-101 victory last night.
Bookmaker.com currently has Phoenix tagged as 1.5-point favorites for this NBA betting battle with the game ‘total’ set at 213.
Though they’ve alternated wins and losses in each of their L/5 games, the Jazz sit comfortably inside the Western Conference Playoff standings currently sitting as the #4 seed. They’re 6-4 SU & ATS their L/10 overall, and trail t...

Central Division NBA betting takes the ESPN spotlight on Friday night when the Detroit Pistons (21-40, 25-34-2 ATS) invade Quicken Loans Arena to take on the best team in the NBA, otherwise known as the Cleveland Cavaliers (48-14, 32-29-1 ATS).
The Pistons limp into this one having dropped five in a row after it got pounded in the Big Apple by the New York Knicks 128-104 on Wednesday night. Cleveland finds itself on a solid winning streak once again after it rattled off its fifth in row by pounding the Nets in New Jersey 11-92 its last time out.
Bookmaker.com currently has Cleveland tagged as lofty 12-point favorites for this NBA betting battle with the game ‘total’ set at 200.5.
Detroit is well on its way towards posting back-to-back losing campaigns. Wins have been few and far between for GM Joe Dumars’ club evidenced by the fact that they’ve played .344 ball to date. It’s been real ugly since the All Star break as well, with the...

Bookmaker Sportsbook takes a look at the five showdowns of the CBB betting weekend that you should be watching for over the course of Saturday and Sunday...
West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Villanova Wildcats 12:00 ET Saturday: This is a huge game in the Big East between two teams that still think they have a chance to get up to the top line in the NCAA Tournament. Villanova, at 13-4 in Big East play, already knows that it has a bye through the first two rounds of the conference tournament next week. WVU can lock up those same two byes with a win on Saturday or a Marquette loss. The Cats marched into Morgantown and escaped with an 82-75 win last month.
Syracuse Orange vs. Louisville Cardinals 2:00 ET Saturday: The Orange may not need to do anything else to nail down the #1 seed in the South Bracket in the NCAA Tournament, but they'd love nothing more than to send the Louisville Cardinals to the brink of the bubble by beating them in a revenge game on...

It's hard to believe that Selection Sunday is a little over a week away. The second-last weekend of the college basketball regular season has plenty of important matchups with teams still trying to gain the respect of the selection committee. Here are a few of the best showdowns Saturday and Sunday.
West Virginia Mountaineers at Villanova Wildcats
The Villanova Wildcats rebounded from a crushing loss in Syracuse last weekend with a 77-73 win over the Cincinnati Bearcats as 3.5-point road favorites Tuesday night. While the Wildcats are flirting with the top spot in the Big East, there are still chemistry issues heading into the final game of the season.
Coach Jay Wright is constantly toying with his frontcourt, starting freshman center Mouphtaou Yarou for the second straight game along with Antonio Pena Tuesday. This bigger lineup forces potent guard Corey Stokes to the bench, slowing down Villanova's pace. The lumbering lineup has the W... -
The first week of March is filled with anticipation. Baseball bettors are frantically reading up on offseason action and projected lineups while most basketball bettors are itching for the madness of March to begin. The NBA remains the ol’ faithful in this stretch, holding over bettors of any sport with some intriguing matchups midway through the week. Here are the must-see games for the next two days:
Wednesday - Oklahoma City Thunder at Denver Nuggets
Depending how the cards fall in the next month and a half, these two Western Conference clubs could face each other in the first round of the playoffs. Oklahoma City is currently sixth in the West with the San Antonio Spurs hot on their heels.
Denver sits No. 2 in the conference and might not want to face the young Thunder after falling in their most recent meeting. Oklahoma City took a 101-84 win over the Nuggets at home, covering as a 2-point favorite on January 29. Granted, Denver was... -
With plenty of upsets this past weekend, the Top 25 pollsters had their jobs cut out for them. College hoops has a new No. 1 while other elite programs moved up and down the national rankings. Here are the schools to look out for in this week's Top 25:
New No. 1
The Syracuse Orange are this week's top team after toppling Big East rival Villanova at home Saturday night. The last time the Orange topped the national poll was following their 2003 title. Syracuse took a 95-77 win over the Wildcats as a 4.5-point home favorite and got some help from Kansas and Kentucky, who fell to conference foes Saturday. The Orange have won three straight games since losing to Louisville back on Valentine's Day, covering the spread in each of those victories.
Even though Saturday's win all but punched Syracuse's ticket to the dance as a No. 1 seed, head coach Jim Boeheim still has much work to do before the Big East tournament begins. Keeping his team focu... -
Two squads sitting just outside their conference’s respective playoff races hook up Friday night from the FedEx Forum where the Charlotte Bobcats (27-29, 30-26 ATS) and Memphis Grizzlies (29-28, 31-25-1 ATS) will get it on.
The Bobcats dropped their third in a row both SU and ATS their last time out at Utah where they fell to the Jazz 102-93 as 7.5-point underdogs. Memphis continued with its current streak of alternating wins and losses by taking out the Wizards in Washington 99-94 as 1-point road chalk.
Bookmaker.com currently has Memphis set as 3-point favorites for this NBA betting battle with the game ‘total’ set at 194.5.
It’s been tough sledding for Head Coach Larry Brown’s Bobcats since the All Star Break. They stand 1-4 SU & ATS with the lone win coming at home against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Because of this, they’ve fallen out of the Eastern Conference Playoff chase and sit one-game in back of the 8t... -
Bookmaker Sportsbook takes a look at the five showdowns of the CBB betting weekend that you should be watching for over the course of Saturday and Sunday...
Kentucky Wildcats vs. Tennessee Volunteers 12:00 ET Saturday: The Wildcats and Volunteers played a fantastic game on Rocky Top earlier this season with the visitors coming away with a 73-62 win. Kentucky has already virtually sewed up the SEC East championship, and a win would only further stamp its spot as a #1 seed in March Madness. The Vols could use a big win to help its positioning in both the SEC and NCAA Tournaments.
Kansas Jayhawks vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys 4:00 ET Saturday: The Jayhawks should be very careful about this trip to Stillwater. The Pokes are a team that badly needs a win to get off the bubble and into the field of 65, and a win against the #1 team in the land would be just what the doctor ordered. Kansas is still trying to complete a perfect Big XII season, but especially wit... -
There is just a month and a half left before the NBA playoffs take center stage in the sports betting world. As the schedule shrinks, the pressure is mounting on teams fighting for a spot in the postseason. And with that pressure comes extra value for basketball bettors. Here are some teams playing with extra determination in the final weeks of the season:
Eastern Conference
Atlanta Hawks (37-21, 34-24 ATS)
The Hawks have been favorites among basketball bettors for most of the season, posting the fourth-best mark against the spread. However, Atlanta could add to those victories with an inspired push in the home stretch of the schedule. It currently sits third in the Eastern Conference, eight games behind the conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers and just two behind the second-place Orlando Magic.
The Hawks are in the hunt for home court advantage through the first two rounds of the playoffs. They are 23-7 inside Philips... -
The college basketball schedule is down to a little over a week remaining before conference tournaments tip off. Wins are at their most important at this stage in the season. The selection committee has a short-term memory and is all about current form. With a couple marquee matchups on the board this weekend, victories could play a big role in tournament seeding for some of the country's top programs.
Saturday - Kentucky Wildcats at Tennessee Volunteers
Kentucky will head into this SEC rivalry game off short rest after facing South Carolina Thursday night. The Wildcats are trying not to look past this weekend's game with revenge against the Gamecocks as their top priority. Coach John Calipari has stressed to his players the importance of remaining calm and controlling their emotions.
Freshman forward DeMarcus Cousins has been at the center of more than one controversy this season and has constantly been hounded by Calipari for losing c... -
Thursday night ESPN2 NCAAB betting action finds the Duke Blue Devils (23-4, 16-8-2 ATS) stepping away from ACC play to host the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (19-8, 7-16-1 ATS) in a CBB betting battle; tip is set for 7:00 ET from Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Tulsa enters this contest losers of three in a row after it fell at home to UTEP by a 78-70 final count as 1.5-point favorites. Duke secured its sixth straight win against Virginia Tech its last time out, but pushed the closing CBB betting pointspread in consecutive outings for its betting backers.
Bookmaker Sportsbook oddsmakers currently have the host Blue Devils tagged as lofty 18.5-point favorites with the game ‘total’ set at 141 for this CUSA/ACC battle.
Though the Golden Hurricane stand 5-5 SU their L/10 games, they’ve put their betting backers in the poor house managing just one push and nine loss during that stretch. It battled back from a 43-26 first half deficit against UTEP to make t...
